Welcome to west end children's centre

West End Children’s Centre is dedicated in providing children with numerous opportunities for growth and development. Our approach to support children’s development is through play and inquiry. A key feature that we use to support this learning approach is the ‘How does learning happen’ Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years document. This philosophy of learning allows our qualified educators to see children as competent and capable learners that are curious and rich in potential. We encourage our families to be active participants in all aspects of the program. WECC use the following Ontario Ministry of Education resources and documents ( to promote our professional growth and reflective practise:

*Think Feel Act: Lessons from Research from Young Children

*Early Learning from Every Child Today: Framework from Ontario Early Childhood Settings

These resources support pedagogical documentation while helping us provide our children an inclusive full environment that promotes opportunities to meet their potential. Our programs add the unique element of Christian teachings. Our motto at WECC is we are “The Daycare with a Difference”. We celebrate God’s love and goodness in a non denominational setting. We welcome all faiths.

License regulations:

Bears (infant): 12 months- 30 months (up to 10 children)

Bunnies (Toddler): 18 months-30 months (up to 25 children)

Lambs (Preschool rooms A/B- 30 months- 44 months (up to 24 children)

Lions (kinder)- 44 months to 7 years old (up to 26 children)

Tigers (JK, SK)- 68 months-13 years (up to 30 children)
